Description	1 newspaper, 40 x 26 cm. [4] p. Vol. XXV, No. 1259. Of note are articles on the ratification of the United States Constitution by the state of Massachusetts on February 6, 1788. Included in the text of the ratification is a list of nine suggested "alterations and provisions" (amendments) to the Constitution. Also of note are reports on the celebrations which followed ratification and a letter from Richard Henry Lee to the governor of Virginia on the desired forms and qualities of the new United States government.
