| Description | 16 page 6" x 9" football program: Washington State College (later the Washington State University Cougars) vs. University of California at California Field, Berkeley, CA. WSC won the game 14-0. Legend has it that a Bay Area writer or radio broadcaster said that WSC "fought like cougars; " WSC students did vote to officially adopt that name later that week on October 28th. |

| Format | Original program pages were digitized as 24 bit color 300 dpi tiffs on an Epson Expression 10000XL scanner. Using Adobe Acrobat X, the images were subsequently compiled into multipage pdfs and OCRed, after which they were uploaded into a CONTENTdm digital collection which again broke them into individual pages. |
