| Description | A seminar paper covering the history of the department of Plant pathology at WSU. This paper was written to establish an account of the teaching department of plant pathology in the College of Agriculture and does not cover the research and faculty activities at the Agricultural Experiment Stations. Fischer describes the creation of Plant Pathology in coordination with the growth of the Agricultural Experiment Stations throughout Washington State. The teaching of bacteriology goes back to the late 1890s at WSU and was the beginnings of the teaching of Plant Pathology. This essay covers activities related to Plant Pathology teaching and development leading into the 1940s.. |
