Description	In this interview conducted by Georgianna Blankenship, Governor John Rankin Rogers expresses his support for women's suffrage, despite objections from the female members of his family. This interview provides a rare glimpse into Rogers' views on women's rights. The transcript includes original edits from Blankenship. While the annotated transcript reads "For Oregonian", for reasons unknown the interview was never published. After extensive research numerous works by Blankenship were found, mostly related to pioneer history, but this is the only piece by Blankenship which discusses suffrage, and the only documentation of Rogers' attitudes towards women's rights.
