Title	Tax collections pass $5,000,000 mark
Description	Tax collections pass $5,000,000 mark. - The 1935 revenue bill, including the sales and business taxes, has netted the state of Washington $5,125,358 to October 1, State Treasurer Otto Case reported. During September collections were $2,157,457. Payment of taxes due for the months of July and August was extended to October 10, so that the full amount collected for the first four months of the sales tax law may exceed expectations. Of the total collections, $976,886 was allotted to the state, $177,848 to University of Washington, $13,582 to Bellingham Normal, $2,306 to Cheney Normal, $14,350 to Ellensburg Normal, $2,998,827 to common schools and $917,945 to relief.
