years

instrumental
in and has
watched
the
onward
progress
of
teh
mining
industry
in the
northwest
. He
successfully
delveloped
to its
fullest
extent
the
first
big
mineral
discovery
of this
immediate
locality
. He
established
the
first
mining
publication
of the
northwest
. He was
instrumental
in the
organization
of the
Northwest
Mining
association
of
Spokane
and for
24
consecutive
years
was its
preesident
.
Mine
after
mine
he has
taken
and
developed
ant
today
,
though
not as
active
in
business
as in the
past
, he
is
just
as
active
in
interest
in the
mining
welfare
of the
northwest
and
is
a
sturdy
,
genial
miner
in
heart
and
speech
;
typical
of the
spirit
perpetuated
by the
emblem
of the
Northwest
Mining
association-
a
miner
pushing
forward
at the
side
of his
heavily
laden
burro
.
