Description	Lost 18 years, ore recovered Unwatering by Knickerbocker reveals lead-silver passed up by early owners In cleaning out and reopening the No 5 level of the Bertha mine, in the Wickes-Corbin district of Montana, the Knickerbocker Mines, owner, a few days ago revealed three feet of milling ore carrying lead and silver in a six-foot vein, 130 feet from the shaft, according to Joseph Lancaster, mining engineer and superintendent. It was this same showing that resulted in the suspension of the mine many years ago by a former owner.
