Description	Indian woman comes to aid of Geronimo and his raiders. - Mary Lloyd, W1 Fourth avenue, Spokane, herself an Indian and a spokesman for them on many occasions, comes to the defense of the Apache chief, Geronimo, for whom a monument is being erected in the southwest, over the protest of white residents who remember his activities in the 80's. The story was recently printed as a syndicated feature in the magazine section of The Spokesman-Review. Richard Mash, pioneer Spokane assayer and prospector, who knew Geronimo and hauled supplies for the American troops chasing him, took exception to some statements in that article and denied the old Indian's right to a monument.
